Psychotherapy

The cost of psychotherapy may be fully or partially covered by your extended health insurance provider. Please review the details of your plan regarding sessions with a Registered Psychotherapist or Canadian Certified Counsellor.

Holistic Psychotherapy draws on over a decade of experience and training in the following psychotherapeutic modalities: Depth-oriented, psychodynamic, somatic (Hakomi, Somatic Experiencing), emotion-focused, compassionate inquiry, cognitive-behavioural, mindfulness-based, psycho-spiritual, and psychedelic-assisted.

Our approach is also informed by the complementary wisdom schools of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Vitalist Herbalism, as well as indigenous teachings from the Anishinaabe, Lakota, and Shipibo-Conibo Nations.

Psychotherapy

For individuals ages 16+ and for couples. Treatment plans and approaches are tailored to meet individual needs, goals, and preferences. Our specializations include: Depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, childhood and developmental trauma, eating disorders, addictions, perinatal mental health, self-development, spirituality, and more. Individual Psychotherapy is prefaced by a comprehensive Holistic Assessment.

Sessions are offered virtually.

Ecotherapy

This unique service combines the benefits of psychotherapy, gentle exercise, and intentional time spent in nature. The service is similar to regular psychotherapy but completed as a “walk & talk” through a forest. Sage smudging and tobacco offerings are incorporated into the session.

Ecotherapy is offered during all four seasons, at the Pinhey Forest Trail in Nepean.

Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy

We offer legal Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy for those struggling with treatment-resistant mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and more.

We are pleased to be among the first therapists in Canada to offer government-approved Psilocybin-Assisted Psychotherapy. Eligibility criteria include: (1) age 19+, (2) resident of Canada with a terminal diagnosis and/or in remission from a life-threatening diagnosis and/or receiving palliative care, and (3) experience psychological distress associated with the diagnosis/illness.

We are Associate Members of TheraPsil, a Canadian advocacy group that supports eligible individuals to obtain a Section 56 exemption from Health Canada to possess psilocybin mushrooms for therapeutic purposes.

Entheogenic/Psychedelic Preparation & Integration

The use of entheogenic and psychedelic medicines for the purpose of holistic healing is growing globally, as supported by an evolving body of research and clinical trials. From a harm-reduction framework, we support individuals who choose to work with the following: Ayahuasca, psilocybin mushrooms, MDMA, 5-MeO-DMT, cannabis, ketamine, and LSD.

We believe that proper education, preparation, intention setting, and integration support are vital for those choosing to work with these medicines. As supported by research in this field, preparation and integration therapy can increase potential benefits and decrease possible risks associated with the use of these medicines.

We humbly support and respect the traditional history and context of entheogenic Indigenous medicines and ceremonies.
